Dashboard
The K8Cost dashboard is your central command center for Kubernetes cost visibility. It surfaces the most important cost data across all connected clusters in a single view.
What You See
The main dashboard page shows four key metrics at a glance:
- Monthly cost estimate -- Total projected spend for the current month across all connected clusters, calculated from actual resource allocation and cloud-provider pricing
- Savings potential -- The sum of estimated savings from all open recommendations, giving you an immediate sense of how much waste exists
- Cluster health score -- An aggregate indicator based on recommendation severity, node utilization, and workload health
- Cost trend -- A 30-day chart showing daily cost trajectory, making it easy to spot spikes or gradual increases
Key Capabilities
- Global cluster selector -- Switch between clusters or view aggregated data across all clusters from the top navigation
- Cost breakdown by namespace -- See which teams and services are driving costs, with drill-down to individual pods
- Node utilization heatmap -- Identify under-utilized nodes where consolidation could save money
- Top recommendations -- The highest-impact optimization opportunities, ranked by estimated savings
- Recent anomalies -- Cost spikes detected by the anomaly detection engine, surfaced before they become billing surprises
